Enjoy an evening of craft and socialising as you build your own miniature festive world!
In this creative session, we invite makers to build their dream miniature 'driftwood' style Christmas village whilst socialising with friends. Bring your own bottle, settle down in your bench space and get ready for three delightful hours of creativity, craftsmanship and quality time!
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? • Everyone who enjoys craft and socialising! You are welcome to bring your favourite tipple to enjoy. Plastic glasses provided. This one's for Adults only!
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE? This relaxing 'make 'n' sip' craft course runs for approximately three hours
WHAT SKILLS WILL I LEARN? • Crafting a miniature town or village scene of your own design • Painting techniques using chalk paints • Personalising and customising the mini houses, making custom roofs and a variety of other mini bits and bobs.
ABOUT THE COURSE: During this hands-on course, you will craft your very own miniature Christmas village scene on a beautiful hardwood base. You'll be able to choose up to five mini houses from our extensive selection, each complete with its own hardwood roof panels and adorable blocks that can be used as windows and doors. We'll show you how to expertly paint, decorate and arrange these elements to create a charming miniature 'driftwood' style village scene of your own design.
You'll have access to a variety of chalk paints to paint your mini houses in any colour your heart desires. The possibilities are endless as you unleash your creativity and make a truly unique miniature world!
But the fun doesn't stop there! We'll also have a range of exciting extras available for purchase, for example mini Christmas trees, extra houses, mini snowmen and even real LED lights!
Our experienced instructors will be on hand to guide you through every step of the process, demonstrating painting techniques, sanding, and proper gluing methods.
WHAT TOOLS WILL I USE? • Chalk paints • PVA Glue/Glu Gun • Hammer, nails and other tools as needed • Paint brushes • Sandpaper
WHERE IS THE COURSE? This course is run in our workshop in Crondall, just off the A287 on the Hampshire/Surrey border. We are extremely proud of the Ash & Co workshop and offer a safe and friendly environment that welcomes all ages and genders to share in our passion for making.
HOW DO I BOOK A BENCH SPACE? Simply choose your date at the top of this page and purchase through the usual checkout process.
You will receive an email confirming all the details (please check your spam folder), and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have before you arrive.
Q: Do you provide alcohol? A: No, this is a bring-your-own-booze event. We will provide plastic glasses and a bottle opener, you are welcome to bring your favourite tipple, with or without alcohol!
Q: Can we bring food? A:Please don't bring food as it could get mixed with sawdust and paint!
Q: Can we book as a group? A:Yes absolutely. If you have booked separately, just let us know you are a group and we will make sure you are sitting together.
Q: Do I have to make a Christmas themed village? A: No, we will have suggestions but your design will be completely up to you!
Q: Will I need money? A: We do have a few optional extras (such as LED lights, mini Christmas trees, snowmen etc). These range from £1 - £5 each and are completely optional. We take payment via card in the workshop for any extras you wish to include.
