I can’t recommend this course enough! I had a great day and I feel really excited that I can actually do the job around my house now. I really want to hang some shelves and now I know what walls I’ve got and how to do it properly! Massive thanks to Jonty, what a great day!

She was so proud of what she made and kept showing everyone, and she loves that she now has her own hammer and won't share it with anyone!

I wasn't expecting much, but this kit surprised me. The fact it uses a real hammer and nails makes it feel totally different from other kits. My son was so focused and took it really seriously. You can tell it's designed properly and great to find something made in the UK by a small business.

I recently attended the DIY in a Day: Intermediate (How to Build Virtually Anything!) workshop, and it was a brilliant experience from start to finish.

Going in, I was hoping to build confidence with some of the bigger tools—like the circular saw and mitre saw—as well as get a better understanding of how projects come together and the importance of planning. The course delivered on all of that and more.

Jonty was an excellent instructor—really relaxed, approachable, and clear in his teaching. It never felt like you were being talked at and there was a great balance between demonstration and hands-on learning, which made a huge difference.

The venue itself is spot on—spacious, clean, and well set up—and the small group size made it feel really engaging and personal.

I’ve come away feeling much more confident and more motivated to get stuck into projects I probably wouldn’t have attempted before.

I’d definitely recommend this course (along with the DIY in a Day – Beginners workshop) to anyone looking to build confidence, regardless of age or experience.

A great day all round—a really enjoyable change from the day job, and it’s genuinely given me the confidence to just give things a go.

This kept my son busy for ages, which is saying something. He normally loses interest quickly, but he stuck with this and really enjoyed it. Great to see him doing something hands-on instead of being on a screen!!

I highly recommend this excellent course, for those who know the basics of DIY but want to improve their skills. It's great to go with a project in mind so Jonty can tailor his (always excellent) advice to your particular situation, but I also picked up loads of tips to do just about anything. Plus it was a really enjoyable day.

Bought this as a gift for a boy who loves craft and making things, and it went down really well. The package is well presented and feels good quality. It's something a bit different which I really loved!

My boys special interest at the moment is woodwork so we bought this set and chose a different project to create each day. We really enjoyed making all the projects.
